  The existing idea of installation separate external DVD-CD-RW slim-factor run into lack of means and very small selection of such devices (actually it was possible to find casually only one). So it was necessary to install my own existing DVD-drive. In the result of big number of upgrades the front panel of DVD has been lost, and the case itself has considerably lost attractive appearance. So the case was completely pasted over with a black film. Before that the interior of the case was added with internal illumination from several light-emitting diodes, and signal of opening was led from buttons to the separate socket on the back side. After installation of DVD-ROM to the place, grooves for tray coming out were made in the front panel and in upper supporting plate (short cuts with a hack-saw, and then a deep cut and smoothing of edge with red-hot knife). Time has come to invent something for DVD front panel. Even at early stages I’ve made a decision to make stealth - panel so it was necessary to decide how to make it. The stealth - panel in full size of DVD front side – is rather big aperture in the panel of the case... and it was not desirable very much to spoil the appearance with strange big aperture. The original decision has come rather unexpectedly: the stealth - panel should not be rigidly attached to the tray but fixed to the bottom edge of the drive and throw downwards under the influence of tray coming out. The real check has shown an opportunity of such decision. It was necessary to make it. The panel was cut out from the remains of black acryl, parts of black woven belt, which undergone some development, were pasted to short edges, after which it was bent without rounding off at the corner of the bend. Free end of the belt was put between DVD-ROM and its supporting shelf. I’ve made an original spring from bent piece of aquarian tube, which closed the panel. Now at opening DVD panel is sharply thrown back by coming out tray, and after its closing it is lead up to the place by the tube.
