Project "DireSnake Bomb"

  BRAID or “rope round”
The arrangement of wires and cables became possible after assembly of supporting base of the case and therefore calculation of their length and round. Wires of fans and wires of control were rounded in a thin dark blue rope from which internal strings were removed. All feed wires were covered with a green thick rope in which even all 20 wires of motherboard power supply were ideally placed in. Wires from lateral disks illumination were rounded with a white rope, which was the core of a thick cable. How round itself was made. Rope was cut at necessary length, central part of the rope was accurately removed, and that made about 20 kapron twisted strings and one more 8-mm braided rope (for the thin cable it was just ten kapron strings). As protection against self-undoing I melted it accurately on the edges with a lighter. After that it is possible to lay wires, previously having collected all sockets in a piece of thermocontraction for sockets would not catch on strings of the braid. After laying it was necessary to fix the braid. It is done by two ways. In the first case, the kapron string was used for a thin cable, which densely braids the end part of the rope in a secret knot. In the second, I had to do more artfully. In a centimeter from the socket the wires are pulled together with a plastic buckle along with a piece of useless wire which cover as a strap “ears” of the socket, the braid is densely tightened, and one more buckle is set from the very edge. At that due to the strap on “ears” the socket is not only quickly removed but also tightly drawn to the braid, without uncovering wire, and does not slip anywhere. Such disadvantages spoilt very frequently the appearance of the round by steel flexible hose. Power cables after that are perfectly bend and laid, besides they can be made both round and flat.

Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
