A noiseless hard drive in one day
We have chosen for testing a super modern, tried by time and falling hard disk Fujitsu which has an impressive capacity of 10.2 Gb. As compared to other hard disks this one stands out for its repugnant squeak, drone, abundant heat-segregation and vibration which is not inferior to the concrete mixer. In short, we have found the most appropriate specimen for testing of the new noise absorbing system. Now I’ll give you a little bit of theory about hard disks structure… Air in the airproof block of hard disk expands as affected by heating. So, in order to prevent the poor block from bursting, there is a breathe hole in the cabinet. The hole is as small as an eye of a needle. Then, prepare the experimental device for sinking. For that take the breath tubule out.
You must know the position of the breath hole; its location varies in different hard disks brands. It is situated from above in some models and from one side or under the board in the others. You may ask advice of repairs mechanics or seek the information in Internet… if you’ve decided to replicate such experiment.

Non-constructive thoughts about modding... |
All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
