How to polish a component? Or correct polishing.

   Polishing is the final stage of metal working. We can talk about it for hours, there are lots of methods and technologies, lots of different polishing pastes, there are lots of only polish pastes, of different grain, for different materials and so on and so forth. The following guide is needed for polishing such soft metals as copper, brass or aluminum.
   So, let’s begin.
 

  Polishing to full gloss any part of appearance is very easy. You can do it at by yourself.  What do you need for that?
   Some sheets of small, preferably waterproof, glass-cloth with different grain.
  Three standard sizes are enough, 100-200 – for rough metal working, 300-600 – for mediate and 1000-2000 – for smooth finish. It is better to make metal working with water. If the size of a component allows, you can work in sink, then you need to turn on thin trickle of warm water.
 

  Firstly, you need to process metal with large glass-cloth, then with smaller and so on… The process is not for weak-nerved, it needs patience and skills. Don’t forget to change wiped out glass-cloth and to use new.
 

  And the last stage is polishing. The best way to do it is to use glass-cloth with felt wheel.
