Silencing power supply unit FSP FX600-GLN

This is how the heat removers were grinded in – with a batch method… You can also read my article about grinding in.

Prepare the surface of the big radiator with the help of vibro grinder; grind the radiator, more precisely – its right half. Finish this process by hand. It can be seen in the picture that the steel grinding plate is clutched in the thrust between clamps and wooden plate for soldering nailed down to the workbench.

Mount active elements on the copper radiators. I had to file and unbind the thinner radiator as I moved it a bit in order the mounting holes fitted between the fins. It’s better to turn the card in 90 degrees; this will give you more freedom in the mounting holes disposition.

During adjustment of heat removers and radiators you’ll have to disassemble and assemble the device over again not once. Not to get the screws mixed up, I made such a paper contrivance :)

Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
