   1U are not only computers! It’s a kind of device with water or air supply… or perhaps these are coaxial cables… I found this device in a Korean site and it was impossible to understand its function.
    

   This is a home-made 1U device with carrier line link; tuner or a kind of modulator…
    

   This is a monitor; it is set into stand for the case if system administrator has to work with one of the servers… In practice I haven’t seen such monitors in our datacenters. Administrators usually work with servers remotely; moreover nobody would like to stand cold and draught of the airproof room where servers are placed… As a rule, they pull out the server and take it away; 1U is easily unfastened from the skids…
