Modding server 1U

I don’t know exactly what it is. It looks like a round-robin changer for mysterious storage devices, or just a server from future, a common server with changeable hard disks stolen from extraterrestrials by M&B :)

This pretends to be a modding but looks like Photoshop.

These are 1U servers from near past, with 386 processors and P1. They look funny.

This is also interesting sample, mother board VIA, hard disk is absent for some reason…

… by the way, servers can manage without hard disks… You can easily download from CF memory card; it has IDE interface and can be toggled on easily instead of disk. For that you should buy a special adapter that costs about 5-10 dollars.

This server doesn’t suffer from vibration, consumes less current and is safer for sure. Wires coming from net card are arranged in a funny way.., it’s also a self-made variant.

This is a portable 1U case, even the hard disk 2.5 inches is from a notebook.

Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
