Modded alarm clock with six processors

It took me much time and efforts to decide where to fix these buttons…
I spent two hours doing it. Different strange ideas came to my head; at first I wanted to fix a small box on one side, then I intended to mask the buttons in knives… later, I decided not to disgrace myself :)
Finally I bore such idea: to place the buttons under the cooler! Why not? Time is corrected not very often, and the fan can be easily dismounted… and the construction looks funnily.

I stick the standard cooler back to its place. Then I glue a small card with the buttons straight in the middle so that they can’t be seen through the fan baffles.

The construction is good but the cooler doesn’t fit to its place, the buttons impede it… Well, I break off the motor from the cover. Then, I glue an impeller to the cover with a glue pistol.

The last thing you have to do is to glue rubber legs, test the workability of all buttons and solder the piezospeaker (the watch tweeter) to one of the processors, or fix it by another means so that it wouldn’t dangle. It seems that the modded watch is finished.

In the end I’d like to give you some recommendations. Be careful, because the contact of ceramic surface of processor with metal causes incurable markings. If desired, a light diode backlight can be mounted into the device.
In this way, according to the technique described above, you can make any small modded device: speakers, a bowl for pencils, a funny key trinket of six processors of 775 sockets, and many other devices. Show the photographs if you make something like this device, I’m interested too…

I wish you stylish modding, SilentMods.com

My first Casemod, but still incomplete
Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
