  How can you install such controlling devices on your computer? Security systems sellers can do it better than me, and their services are very expensive. We can’t outgun them in quality of hardware and software, but the price will be lower
  So, let me introduce the project of transforming a computer into intellectual security system. If you'll mount a cam in the front door, it will record if somebody is coming, detecting movement by the motion detector and reporting to you by playing small videos to you or sending photos to your mobile. And videos will be with sound.
And the most important, this device is easy to make, and it can be made by a beginner. And the cost of this device is very low; it all cost me 50-60$.
   For this you’ll need.
  Portable video cam. You should visit security systems retailer to buy it.  You can find lots of them, but the main criteria are 12V power and PAL-compatible video output. I bought black-and-white cam with split objective and night vision function for 44$. But you can find cams for 25$. For lazy ones I can recommend cam made for spy-hole, it costs 50$.

  Any frame capture card. Maybe there is such a function in your video card. You can use old TV-tuner with video output, which you can buy in flea market for 10-15$. I chose the last variant and bought Aver 203 for a small price.
